Because of the COVID-19 influence, FEDUCATION changed the on-site “Finland Education in China” Training Program to online-remote model. We designed and organized the online teacher training program for our Beijing Fengtai No.5 Primary School and Dujiangyan Wanhui school principals and teachers.
In November 2019, the expert team at FEDUCATION once again visited the schools of Chengdu Wanhui Education Group to carry out an annual series of comprehensive teacher development training, helping teachers from Wanhui Educational Institution to continuously expand their educational horizons, explore different core areas of education, and integrate, innovate and improve the Jinwanhui curriculum as well as to improve the professionalism of teachers, and construct the best quality education for future-oriented children.
On November 2, 2019, Dr. Dong Li, Executive President of FEDUCATION, led a team of Finnish education experts to Chongqing Shuren Primary School, discussed the topic “Finnish Basic Education and Teacher Serial Training” with Shuren Primary Education Group. Comprehensive training and the advanced concept of phenomenon-based learning and teaching were presented to the teachers.
From October 28th to November 1st, 2019, the expert team at the FEDUCATION once again came to Xiejiawan Primary School to carry out the 8th Finland Week and “New Sino-Finnish classroom” from Liu Xiya Principals’ Studio. The following topics were discussed: “Implementing morality education, Developing Quality Education”, “Transforming Learning Methods, Focusing on Normal Classroom Teaching”, “Gathering Educational talents in China, Finland and Singapore, and Building a Learning and Research Community”.
Invited by the principal of Xi’an Qujiang No.1 Primary School, Chen Juan, Dr. Dong Li from FEDUCATION led a team of Finnish experts to visit the school in the autumn semester. The purpose of the visit was to offer comprehensive teacher training as well as give a series of lectures focused on curriculum development. After arriving on the first day, the Finnish expert team, led by Principal Chen and the management team, visited the school’s history museum and the art exhibition.
On May 13-20, 2019, 10 principals of the Primary School Principal Studio in Beijing’s Fengtai District went to Finland for study and exchange. They came to Finland to participate in the Finnish education training organized by FEDUCATION and Finland-China Education Association (FICEA).
At the beginning of the annual program “Finland Education in China”, Dr. Dong Li, Executive President of FEDUCATION opened the 7th in-depth Finnish teacher training seminar in Chongqing Xiejiawan Primary School, which took place from April 22 to 26, 2019.
From January 6th to 26th, 2019, 24 principals from the Guangdong Provincial Middle School came to Finland to participate in the Backbone Training Program organized by FEDUCATION, Finland-China Education Association (FICEA) and Tampere University of Applied Sciences. During this period, the team of principals visited 10 different Finnish schools.
In December 2018, a large-scale public welfare lecture on “Finnish Family Education and Happiness” kicked off the extensive cooperation between FEDUCATION and Wanhui Educational Institution. Since then, the two parties have continuously collaborated in teacher training, curriculum development, school management, and teacher exchanges.
