From April 22 to 26, 2019, Finnish International Education Innovation Research Institute and Chongqing Xiejiawan Primary School organized and held the Xiejiawan 7th “Finland Education in China” training week and education seminar.
The theme of this year’s seminar was “Developing quality education and transforming learning methods” and it was organized by FEDUCATION in collaboration with the principal’s studio member school and Xiejiawan Primary School. More than 2,000 education professionals and teacher representatives from all over China participated in the seminar.
During the five days, thoughts and practical experiences on improving students’ learning strategies, integrating diverse learning contents, and optimizing learning forms during the transformation of learning methods were shared and discussed by teachers through 17 different lesson examples. The teachers participating in the seminar had an interactive experience, where they were able to actively participate in discussions. Dr. Li, the Executive President of FEDUCATION provided comprehensive and professional comments for every demonstration lesson, which inspired teachers to actively participate in the discussion. The 7th “Finland Education in China” training week and seminar provided a platform for in-depth understanding of Sino-Finnish basic education reform and development as well as innovative concepts, and at the same time, shared practical experiences of typical cases of Sino-Finnish education cooperation.
The directors from Chongqing local government educational sectors encouraged the Xiejiawan Primary School and also its studio’s Member principals to improve the quality of school administration and education, which contribute to the construction high-quality principal team in the local districts and counties.
