During May 13-20, 2019, one principal group of the Primary School Principal Studio in Fengtai District of Beijing went to Finland for study and exchange. They came to Finland to participate in the Finnish education training organized by FEDUCATION and Finland-China Education Association (FICEA). The training included on-site Finnish class observations, expert lectures, teacher seminars, training workshops, and off-campus curriculum experiences. FEDCUATION designed the training themes based on the Chinese principals’ school operation needs and also the Finnish curriculum reform practices successful experiences. The training topics include school curriculum, curriculum innovation, national curriculum localization, principal and teacher leadership, campus culture construction, phenomenon-based teaching, educational information development, Finnish language teaching, and modern teaching environment design. The Beijing principals said they would bring these precious experiences they gained during the training back to Fengtai District of Beijing, and bring them to the campus so that more Chinese teachers and students would benefit from it.
