General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Jinping Xi pointed out that education is an important cornerstone of national rejuvenation and social progress. It is a major part of a plan for the country and the party. It has decisive meaning for the improvement and promotion of the comprehensive competence of people, enhancement of the innovation and creativity of the Chinese nation, and achievement of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The quality of teachers determines the quality of students. Teachers must pursue lifelong growth for the benefit of the students. To help domestic colleges and universities further promote the experiments within the educational field of work and enhance the teachers’ new educational practice and ability to be innovative, Dr. Dong Li, the executive president of the Finnish International Education innovation Research Institute, was invited to participate in the summit with the theme of “New China, New Education, New Children” on August 7th. “New Education: Firefly Summer (2020)” – the “15th -34th National Seed Teacher Summit centered on the theme of “Empowering Students with Learning Difficulties”, and Dr. Dong Li presented the lecture with the title “The enlightenment and reflection of Finnish Education ”.
The summit was initiated by the New Reading Research Institute from the New Education Research Institute and the “New Education Seed Project” to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the New Education Experiment and the 10th Anniversary of the New Education Seed Project. Nearly 40,000 professionals and teachers from various experimental areas and schools across the country gathered over the internet and participated in the 20th anniversary of this new educational experiment
