FEDUCATION 2019 “Finland Education in China”–Finnish Training Program at Chongqing Xiejiawan Primary School

From October 28th to November 1st, 2019, the expert team at the FEDUCATION once again came to Xiejiawan Primary School to carry out the 8th Finland Education Training Week and  “New Sino-Finnish classroom” Seminar. The following topics were discussed: “Implementing morality education, Developing Quality Education”, “Transforming Learning Methods, Focusing on Normal Classroom Teaching”, “Gathering Educational talents in China, Finland and Singapore, and Building a Learning and Research Community”.

  

People participating in this event are diverse, including experts and teachers from Finland and Singapore, as well as across China from Shandong, Liaoning, Henan, Hebei, Sichuan, Chongqing and other domestic cities. More than 4,000 education professionals participated in the seminar activities. During the one-week training, 12 schools from China, Finland, and Singapore provided 19 demonstration lessons in 9 subjects including Chinese, Mathematics, English, Science, Physical Education, Art, Programming, Home Economics, and Psychological Health. 

The expert team at the Finnish International Education Innovation Research Institute also brought lectures on Finland’s new curriculum reform, the development of future schools, and future innovative teaching methods to the participating educational scholars. The training has strengthened teachers’ understanding of education innovation. 

The one-week training consisted of seminars, sharing, and reviewing lessons from 3 countries, 12 schools, 19 sessions, 4 lectures, multi-disciplinary, multi-country, and cross-field teaching observations and reflections allowing teachers to see the advanced and innovative educational ideas and teaching methods from around the world.
